I had already chosen the songs I planned on playing when I started recording the episode, and the words “I’m in a mood” came out of my mouth. Never mind the fact that I had just come from the local high school’s graduation where a very rich man took 50 minutes to tell the graduates that making money, getting rich, was easy if you followed his formula, the formula of an insurance salesman. A line from Citizen Kane came to mind: “It’s no trick to make a lot of money if all you want is to make a lot of money.”

Anyway, I was in a mood. My brother Chris is fond of saying, in some iteration or other, that he is happier than Bill Gates. And I believe that is true. Though my brother has a few dollars backing him up, too.
